Meet our Team
After many years in large firms, Scott Hitchcock was ready to build something new: a boutique experience that’s focused, personal, and a little less corporate. Scott’s calm, thoughtful approach, deep industry knowledge, and sense of humor help make him a trusted advisor to business owners—particularly those planning to transition their business to the next generation, key employees, or a third party (ideally with less stress and minimal drama).
Before co-founding XMc, Scott spent more than 20 years as a Managing Director at McGladrey Wealth Management (later called RSM, now Choreo Advisors). His career began at Locust Street Securities, where a decade of hands-on learning shaped what would become a lifelong passion for helping people make smart, meaningful financial decisions.
Scott graduated from Wenatchee Valley College with a degree in ski resort management (yes, he really did). He later earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.
Outside the office, Scott is married to Ingrida, who keeps him grounded. They have two sons, Alex and Andrew, who kept him busy for 18 years on the baseball field as their coach. These days, he enjoys chasing views in the Pacific Northwest, relaxing off the grid, and planning his next travel adventure—preferably somewhere with no Wi-Fi.
