Chad Tramp is driven by one thing: helping successful families make smart financial decisions. With a genuine passion for helping others succeed, Chad builds deep, lasting relationships with his clients—getting to know what truly matters to them, from their goals and dreams to the things that keep them up at night. He’s thoughtful, deliberate, and is focused on  spotting potential risks before they become problems, crafting strategies to help clients navigate life with confidence.

Chad started his career as a CPA providing solutions to clients’ tax challenges. After a number of years practicing tax, he transitioned to financial planning and was integral in starting the firm’s (McGladrey/RSM Wealth Management) wealth management practice. He was the very first employee of the RSM/McGladrey Wealth Management practice and spent more than two decades working with individuals, families and business owners, consulting on all aspects of their financial lives. During that period—alongside evolving markets, changing firm names, and spanning many haircuts (as Chad likes to say)—he served as Partner of the practice where he and his team grew RSM’s Wealth Management business.

As a co-founder of XMc Wealth Management, Chad specializes in business transition planning and strategies for passing assets to the next generation or to new ownership—guiding clients through some of life’s most important financial decisions.

Chad graduated from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting—and he hasn’t stopped learning since. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner with 25 years of industry experience, he helps clients navigate the financial decisions that come with each stage of life.

When he’s not working with clients to help solve their financial concerns, he can be found at the lake relaxing on his boat, target shooting at the range, watching the Huskers (and waiting for a repeat of their glory days), or talking a little smack with friends and family. He and his wife, Tricia, are proud parents to three grown kids—Tori (Joel), Cole, and Karli—and are loving their newest role as grandparents to sweet Navy.
